Bio

Ron was born in Hollywood and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He served for six years in the United States Air Force before attending college. He holds degrees from Los Angeles Pierce College, California State University, Northridge, Pepperdine University, Biola University, and Talbot Theological Seminary and School of Theology. He is also a graduate of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Academy and the Los Angeles Police Academy.

Our pastor has been married for 55 years to his wife, Kathy. They have three children, two daughters and a son, and seven grandchildren.

Pastor Ron has a diverse background, having worked as an insurance investigator and later as a Police Officer for the cities of Manhattan Beach and Santa Monica. He has also served as a Los Angeles Reserve Police Officer and Chaplain.

God called Ron to the ministry, and upon graduating with his Master of Divinity from Talbot Seminary, Ron began his journey at Granada Hills Community Church. He first served the church as an Intern Pastor, then as Associate Pastor. In June of 1986, he was called to be the Pastor-Teacher. He has a passion for the worship of God, the Word of God, and the people of God, and for reaching those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Ron has experienced the grace of God throughout these many years of ministry at Granada Hill Community Church and looks forward to what God has in store for the future.

In addition to his M.Div. from Talbot, Ron holds a B.A. in Political Science from C.S.U.N., a Master of Public Administration from Pepperdine University, and has completed classes toward his Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Theological Seminary.

Ron enjoys reading, traveling to Hawaii, working out, and spending time with his lovely wife, Kathy, as well as his children and grandchildren.
